Goffstown Babe Ruth Softball and Friends of Goffstown Softball
Article I The name of the league shall be Goffstown Babe Ruth Softball [GBRS] and Friends of Goffstown Softball [FOGS].
Article II The purpose for which this league is organized is to develop and operate a softball program in affiliation with Babe Ruth League, Inc. a New Jersey corporation, in conformity with and pursuant to the principles, rules and regulations enunciated by said Babe Ruth League, Inc. In conjunction with such purposes, the objective of this leagues that, through the medium of a supervised, competitive softball program, guided and governed by said Babe Ruth Softball League, Inc., this league will seek to implant in the youth of the community ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and reverence, so they may be finer, stronger and happier youth who will grow to be good, clean, healthy adults.
Article III The league shall be affiliated with Babe Ruth League, Inc., a New Jersey corporation, and shall be governed by, and shall comply with the principals, rules, and regulations enunciated and decreed by Babe Ruth League, Inc.
Article IV The principal operations of the league shall be in the Town Of Goffstown, New Hampshire, but may extend into such other areas as provided by the State, Regional, and National Headquarters rules and regulations.
Article V This league shall have the following powers in addition to the powers expressly or implicitly conferred on it by law.
A. To make and enforce rules and regulations to govern itself on a local basis, but consistent and not contrary to any rules and regulations promulgated by Babe Ruth League, Inc., a New Jersey corporation, or by the Regional, or State echelons of said babe Ruth League, Inc., to which this league is subject.
Article VI The affairs of the league shall be managed by the Board of Directors of Friends of Goffstown Softball. Each Director will have one vote in the affairs of the league.
Meetings of the Board of Director shall be held quarterly, or more often as called by the president. The President shall call a meeting if requested in writing by a majority of the Board of Directors.
At the last quarterly meeting in the calendar year, the Board of Directors shall, by a majority vote, elect four officers of the Association, namely, the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The At-Large members will also be elected at this meeting.
The Board shall adopt such rules and regulations as it may deem appropriate. It shall have oversight of all league affairs, and shall have the final right of approval of the coaches, game officials, and any other personnel associated with the Association. Such approval may be withdrawn at the sole discretion of the board. Such rules and regulations shall be kept as part of the leagues official minutes.
Article VII The board shall be comprised of seven members consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and three  at large members. At least two of the board members must be from Dunbarton.
Duties of Officers:
Duties of the President: The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the organization, preside at all meetings, and be Chairman of the Board of Directors. The President shall call meetings as outlined above, and shall appoint and supervise the functions of the various committees.
Duties of the Vice President: The Vice President shall perform the duties of the President if for any reason the President is unable to perform his duties, and shall have the same authority as the President. The Vice President should carry out all other duties or assignments as may be delegated by the President.
Duties of the Secretary: The Secretary shall keep an accurate and up to date record of the proceedings of the Association and shall conduct such other business as is necessary fir the welfare of the association. The Secretary shall provide minutes of each regular meeting, which shall be available for the inspection of all Directors and representatives of the member communities. The minutes should state time and location of the next regularly scheduled meeting of the board.
Duties of the Treasurer: The Treasurer shall pay all accounts by check. The Treasurer shall keep an accurate and up to date record of all monies received. This record is to be available for review by representatives of the member communities. The Treasurer shall prepare and file, in a timely manner, such annual reports as may be required by federal, state or local authorities.
